ICO Alan Turing Lecture 2012

To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the birth of the world renowned mathematician, code breaker, logician and computer scientist, the first ICO Alan Turing Lecture was held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on Tuesday 11 September 2012.

Introduced by Information Commissioner, Christopher Graham, the inaugural lecture was delivered by distinguished Cambridge historian Professor Christopher Andrew, the official historian of MI5, who discussed the life and work of Turing.

Every effort has been made to clear copyright on material in Prof Andrew's presentation slides for the purpose of this recording. Permission has been obtained from copyright owners in most cases, but the ICO would be glad to hear from any we have not so far been able to identify.
